However, don't be tensed – it isn't so difficult!
Holding The Ukulele While Sitting Down

Sit up straight on the front section of the seat
as appeared in the photograph beneath.

The ukulele must be near your body in an upstanding position with the neck pointing a little bit upwards.

Most players prefer sitting while their legs are
crossed. Check to know the sitting position that suits you.
The primary goal is to be at
ease and have simple access to the ukulele fretboard. A music stand will
likewise be useful for studying ukulele sheet music.
Holding The Ukulele While Standing Up
Be on your feet with your
weight fairly adjusted on the two feet and tilt the neck a little bit upwards.
Left Hand Positioning
The left-hand fingers are
numbered as appeared in the left photograph underneath. Your fingers must be on
their tips and positioned behind the frets, not over them, as appeared in the right photograph beneath.
Be mindful so as to prevent the
thumb from hanging too far over the top of the neck, or to let it run equally
along the back of the neck. These methods are wrong and make it increasingly
hard to play.
